The backbone of democracy

A large part of the Greek middle class is at a dead end. These are people paying incredible amounts in taxes to a completely disorganized state that makes one change after another to tax regulations, leaving them at sea. They are also paying huge taxes on their real estate, while at the same time facing the specter of a possible repossession of their home.

People who work hard and are guided by common sense do not want to have to turn to political parties that challenge the traditional formations. They are, after all, the backbone of the middle class and the real supporters of the democratic system. That said, they want to see a political system and a state that manages money the same way they do: conscientiously and cautiously. They want to see a state that does not view all of its citizens as potential thieves or cash cows.

These people are running out of patience. They will not tolerate any more nepotism and cronyism, and anyone who ignores their rising anger is in for a very rude awakening.
