Athens airport asks passengers to vote on the return of Parthenon marbles

en.protothema.gr

A new application has been launched as of Wednesday by Athens International Airport (AIA) that gives the passengers and visitors the opportunity to have their say on the Parthenon marbles dispute between Greece and Britain.

The application is available on interactive monitors at the arrivals and departures halls, encouraging the passengers to piece together a puzzle of the Parthenon frieze and “install” the sixth missing Caryatid figure to her original place of origin from the British Museum.

Then, the users are asked the following question: “Are you in favor of the return of the Parthenon Marbles or not?”.

It should be noted that, so far, 125 persons have voted in favor of the return of the Parthenon Marbles and only 4 have voted ‘no’.
